Professional Background & Interests
I entered the field of Librarianship in 2004 as a School Librarian. I am currently completing the application process for two JD/MLS Dual Degree Programs so that I can make the leap from School Libraries to Law and/or Government Libraries.

From 2004 - 2011 I spent time in Georgia and Maryland as the School Librarian at various public, independent, and charter schools for Grades PK - PG (Pre-Kindergarten - Post Graduate).

My School Librarianship interests include the development of literacy and critical thinking skills in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten, project-based learning, technology integration, student - centered classrooms, inquiry, collaborative instruction, and the benefits of reading for pleasure.

My Law Librarianship interests are not as specific but I hope to explore constitutional and civil rights, copyright, and legal history. I would like to have Internships at the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court Library while in school. After graduation I want to work at either library full-time. (I have dreamed about being ‘The’ Librarian of Congress since elementary school.)

I hope to connect with other Librarians, improve my professional practice, and explore personal and professional interests.
