Hi there, innovative sociology professors and researchers, especially ISA RC10 members and seasoned SDD practitioners and aspiring apprentices like me,

I am sociology professor at the Belgrade University Faculty of Philosophy in retirement. In cooperation with students who choose one or more courses that I was facilitating at the undergraduate, graduate or doctoral studies (Theories and Methods of Society Research, http://moodle2.f.bg.ac.rs/course/view.php?id=10 ), Action Research (http://moodle.f.bg.ac.rs/course/view.php?id=128), Sociology of Knowledge (http://moodle2.f.bg.ac.rs/course/view.php?id=11) , as well as the obligatory course Introduction to sociology I (http://moodle2.f.bg.ac.rs/course/view.php?id=12 ) and sociological aspects of interdisciplinary course Introduction to the theory of society (http://moodle.f.bg.ac.rs/course/view.php?id=130 ),

we continue to explore and attempt to develop the potential of the information technology use for interactive, participative and self-reflexive studying and research application of sociology.

I met in cyberspace some members of Structured Dialogue Design Process (SDDP, http://www.globalagoras.org/category/sdd/) community as I was attempting to initiate Internet dialogue about the papers contributed to the sessions of the ISA Research Committee 10 on Participation, Organisational Democracy and Self Management during the First International Sociological Association's Forum in Barcelona on Sociological Research and Public Debate, in which I could not participate in person in September 2008*, and continue to maintain ISA RC10 International forum as a virtual meeting point of all interested at http://isarc10internetforum.wikispaces.com/ until July 30 2018, and at http://moodle2.f.bg.ac.rs/course/view.php?id=47&section=45 after this date.

I understood from this dialoguing that learning about and reflecting on SDDP might help make mentioned electronically supported courses still better applicable for interactive learning and research. Hopefully it might be interesting for you too to get the insight into the perception of ontological, epistemological and practico - political assumptions, possibilities and limits of SDDP from the angle of an aspiring practitioner avid to learn through doing and participant observation ("Ontological questions of a Structural Dialogic Design apprentice concerning SDD Axioms from sociology of knowledge perspective" is available for reading at https://www.academia.edu/12128715/Ontological_questions_of_a_Structural_Dialogical_Design_apprentice_concerning_SDD_Axioms_from_sociology_of_knowledge_perspective and for critical commenting at http://www.futureworlds.eu/wiki/User_talk:Vera_vratu%C5%A1a)

My research interest includes critical history of social theories and methods in sociology of knowledge perspective and their implementation in just and sustainable social, economic, political and cultural development strategies' participatory design with an accent on the social class, gender, educational, ethnic, confessional and Geo-strategic aspects of global systemic accumulation of capital crisis, recolonization war complex disaster, social participation and self-management. * In 2016, one of ten sessions of ISA RC10 during III ISA Vienna Forum 2016 focusing self-management, was prepared and documented for possible future discussion at http://isarc10internetforum.wikispaces.com/Self-Management+as+Simultaneous+Goal+and+Means. The challenge is to draw the lessons from the critical analysis of past attempts to realize integral self-management vision of freely associated producers and consumers mastering entire process of reproduction of social life. One of the key obstacles encountered was inefficient functioning of self-management institutions for reaching and implementing strategic production, distribution and consumption decisions from local to national (and international) level, formally legally introduced by relevant constitutional and law paragraphs . In absence of effective convergent planning of producers' and consumers' delegates from the basic organizations of associated labor and neighboring communities to the never established federal congress of self-managers, constitutionally proclaimed social property in ex-Yugoslavia degenerated into group property and disappeared through the process of robbery privatization in all former constituent republics and autonomous provinces. Advocates of the so called neo-liberalism, still claim that only well paid highly educated expert managers and supposedly free market competition of mutually independent private producers of merchandises, can be the effective regulators of investment allocation and all other social life reproduction decisions, in spite of protracted systemic crisis of capital accumulation manifesting disastrous effects of neo-liberal institutional framework.
Threaded virtual discussion on self management alternatives started at http://isarc10internetforum.wikispaces.com/Self-Management+As+Simultaneous+Goal+and+Means , hopefully will continue. Hereby I cordially invite all interested to join discussion and action oriented research of self-management theory and practice which came here and there again back on the world historic scene, thanks to the action of exploited and oppressed themselves, after several decades of retreat under the pressure of the war of imperialist recolonization of former Second and Third World by the financial oligarchy of the former First World militarily organized into NATO.
